Onboard FAQ's

What time do we leave?

Check-in time on January 4, 2014 will begin promptly at 1:00 PM. You MUST be on the ship no later than 5:00 PM as we will set sail at 7:00 PM. NO EXCEPTIONS!!

 
What time do we return?

On January 9, 2014, disembarkation is scheduled to begin at approximately 8:00 AM.

 
What is included with my fare?

All Jam Cruise 12 concerts, your cabin accommodations on-board the ship, all meals in the main dining room(s) and cafeteria, casual dining throughout the day, non-carbonated beverages (water, non-speciality coffee, tea, juices, etc), and use of the ship’s pools, health and fitness center.

 
What is NOT included with my fare?

Transportation to/from PortMiami, shore excursions, sightseeing, meals ashore, meals in specialty and à la carte restaurants, wine, beer, liquors, cocktails, sodas, bottled/mineral water, laundry, medical expenses, spa, beauty salon, casino gaming, onboard shopping and all other items of a personal nature.  

* In the event that the cost of fuel increases between now and the time we sail, a fuel surcharge will be imposed to each passenger for our sailing January 4-9, 2014. The fuel surcharge will be added to the passenger's cabin costs, not to exceed $30 per passenger and must be paid in full by January 4, 2014 in order to board the ship for Jam Cruise 12. All passengers will be notified via email if such a fuel surcharge will be added to the cost of your cabin. If such a fee is imposed, the credit card on file for the primary passenger will be charged.

 

What will I need money for once onboard?

While on board, all alcoholic and soft drinks (not including tea, coffee & juices) will be charged to your Sign & Sail card.  Upon check-in, you will establish credit for your Sign & Sail card using a Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express. You must either put down a credit card or you may open a Sign & Sail card with a $200 cash deposit. All official Jam Cruise 12 merchandise and band merchandise can only be paid by cash or credit card.

 
Are there ATMs onboard?

No. There are no ATMs onboard the Divina. Plan ahead if you are planning to gamble in the casino, or pay with cash at the merchandise store or at the port stops. You will be able to get cash advances from the Purser's office once onboard.

 
Is there internet access on the ship?

For those of you who can't leave the "real" world behind, there is an Internet Café that is open 24 hours. Rates will be available onboard. Wireless access is also available in limited areas throughout the ship.

 
How many shows will each band be playing?

Most bands on board will be performing two scheduled shows, however bands with an (*) will only be performing one show....and who knows what other jam sessions might arise in the Jam Room!

 
When is the music, at night time or during the day?

Music will kick off with a sail away party on the first day of the cruise, continuing nearly until dawn. Once we are at sea, music begins daily around 11:00 AM on the pool deck and essentially goes around the clock.

 
When will the music schedule be available?

The schedule for Jam Cruise 12 will be posted before we sail. Music will take place at multiple venues on board the ship. We want to make sure that you'll be able to see each and every band on board perform an entire show. No two bands will both perform at the same time twice.

 
What sort of activities will be planned on the ship besides music?

We are working with the artists to have them each be a part of something special on board. Since this is one of the most intimate musical adventures to ever take place, we feel it's important for those taking part to experience things they wouldn't otherwise be a part of, like music workshops, autograph signing sessions, fan friendly events and many other forms of non-music entertainment. Positive Legacy, Cloud 9's non-profit arm, will be organizing a service project in port for Artists and Fans to participate in to benefit the communities we visit. Stay tuned!

 
What can we do when we get off the ship?

MSC offers many land excursions (w/ additional charges) while in port. Go parasailing, scuba diving, snorkeling and more. Packages will be announced and will be available for purchase onboard.

 
How many meals do we get a day?

Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner plus the pizza bar and a midnight buffet are all included. Food is available nearly around the clock.

 
Will Vegetarian meals be served?

Yes. The MSC Divina has a wide variety of food available to passengers with various dietary needs. Vegetarian meals will be an option at each meal throughout the cruise. If you have specific dietary needs (Kosher, Gluten-Free, etc.) please note this in your reservation.

 
Is there any dress code on the ship?

No. Think Jam Cruise casual for the entire time.  Stay tuned for Activities Announcements for special dress up theme nights.

 
Can I bring my kids?

Certainly! The child rates are: 1 mo-2 Years: $299 extra assuming the child will sleep in the bed w/ parents or use a crib. 2-10 Years: You must reserve a cabin including the child in the occupancy load. The child will receive 25% off the per person rate (not including the $210/person gratuity, port charges, greening surcharge, and fees). 11 Years and up: Full Price.

 
Is there a spa?

Yes. There is a full service spa & salon onboard.  Massage appointments fill up fast, so book them early!

 
What fitness activities are available?

A fitness center and workout room with modern equipment is available. Our ship also offers a jogging track, table tennis, swimming pools and fitness classes. Yoga will also be offered.

 
Is there a casino?

The Divina has a casino on board offering slot machines, craps, blackjack and roulette, Caribbean poker and bingo. The casino opens only while at sea and is closed while in port.

 
Are there laundry services on board?

Yes.  Complete laundry services are available for an extra charge.

 
Can I watch television or movies?

Yes.  All staterooms are furnished with televisions. Check out our very own Jam Cruise TV or catch a movie while you are in your cabin.

 
Are hair dryers provided?

Yes.  Suites contain a hand held dryer; all other cabins have hair dryers in the desk drawer.
